Will it fit my faucet?
It fits most standard 1/2" and 3/4" wall-mounted outdoor faucets, hose bibs and spigots. The cover is about 6" tall, 3.75" wide and 5.5" deep, and the mounting plate opening is 2.75" × 3.5", so your faucet's base needs to fit inside that opening. Check your measurements.
How is this different from a cheap plastic cover?
Slip-on plastic covers hang from the faucet and usually come off each spring. The Hawk mounts to the wall, latches for a padlock and can be painted, so it stays on all year.
Will it stop my faucet from freezing?
It insulates the faucet with 1/2" EPDM foam and helps prevent freeze damage. No cover can guarantee protection in severe, prolonged freezing conditions or after improper installation, so it's still worth winterizing.
How do I winterize my faucet?
Before freezing weather, disconnect all hoses, shut off the internal water supply, and drain the faucet. Then close the cover.
Can I paint it?
Yes. Use exterior paint to match your home.
Is a padlock included?
No. The built-in latch fits a small padlock of your own, which helps prevent water theft, tampering and child access.
